Chapter 210 I don't even know who she is!

In the alley behind the villa, the dim streetlights cast a tall figure onto the mottled wall. Yu Yuetong hid in the shadows, watching the familiar black sedan slowly drive into the alley. The window rolled down, revealing Ji Momo's excessively delicate face.

"Long time no see, Miss Yu." Ji Momo curled the corners of her lips, a hint of coldness in her smile. "Or should I call you—Mrs. Qin?"

Yu Yuetong's heart tightened, a chill creeping up from her feet. She instinctively took a step back, her back pressed against the cold wall. "What do you want?"

Ji Momo chuckled softly and took a photo out of her bag, handing it to her. The photo showed Qin Reng choosing a ring in a jewelry store.

"President Qin has excellent taste," Ji Momo said with a hint of sarcasm. "It's just a pity that this ring ended up on your hand."

Yu Yuetong stared at the photo for a few seconds, then suddenly realized. "It's you?"

"It was me," Ji Momo admitted frankly. "That diamond was the one I put in your pocket."

Yu Yuetong felt her breath catch in her throat. She recalled Qin Reng's reaction that morning, and the phone call he had hung up on. It turned out that Ji Momo was behind it all.

"Why?" she asked with difficulty, her voice hoarse like the grinding of sand.

A complex emotion flashed in Ji Momo's eyes, "Because I want to see what you're capable of that makes President Qin willing to pay any price to marry you."

Yu Yuetong sneered, "Now you see?"

“I saw it.” Ji Momo sighed. “To be honest, you’ve disappointed me a lot.”

Yu Yuetong clenched her fists, her nails digging deep into her palms. "Disappointed?"

“Yes,” Ji Momo said casually, “I thought you would be smarter, at least not as…” She paused, as if searching for the right words, “…so naive.”

Yu Yuetong felt as if she had been slapped hard across the face.

Rain dripped from the eaves, spreading out patches of water on the ground. Yu Yuetong took a deep breath, trying to calm her anger. "So what? You went to all this trouble to marry me off to Qin Reng, just to see me make a fool of myself?"

Ji Momo tilted her head, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "Of course not. I came to tell you that Qin Reng is a much more complicated man than you think. You can't control him."

Yu Yuetong sneered, "That's my business, none of your concern."

"I was trying to give you a friendly reminder, but you took it all for granted." Ji Momo sighed with feigned regret. "Fine, since you won't listen to my advice, I have nothing more to say. But..." She paused, then took out a stack of photos from her bag and threw them at Yu Yuetong's face. "You should take a look at these photos first."

Photos were scattered all over the floor. Yu Yuetong bent down to pick one up, her pupils suddenly contracting. The photo showed Qin Reng and Ji Momo standing intimately at the hotel entrance. Although the photo was somewhat blurry, making it difficult to see their expressions, their body language clearly indicated that their relationship was not simple.

Yu Yuetong felt as if an invisible hand was gripping her heart tightly, almost suffocating her. She picked up the photos one by one, becoming increasingly horrified with each look. The date on the photos was yesterday—the very night she had argued with Qin Reng.

"Looks like you figured it out too." Ji Momo's voice came from above, carrying a hint of victor's smugness. "Qin Reng didn't go to the bar that night; he went to the hotel to see me. He lied to you just to keep you calm."

Yu Yuetong stood up, trembling, and looked at Ji Momo. "What exactly are you trying to say?"

Ji Momo smiled, moved closer to Yu Yuetong, and whispered in her ear, "What I want to say is that your marriage with Qin Reng was a mistake from the very beginning. And now, that mistake is about to be corrected."

Yu Yuetong abruptly took a step back, looking at Ji Momo warily. "What do you mean?"

“It doesn’t mean anything.” Ji Momo shrugged. “I just want to see how Qin Reng will react when he finds out that you’re not the innocent and harmless girl he imagined.”

A sense of foreboding rose in Yu Yuetong's heart. "What did you do?"

Ji Momo smiled mysteriously, didn't answer, turned around, got into the car, and drove away. Yu Yuetong stood there, watching the car disappear into the alley. The rain was getting heavier, and cold water droplets slid down her cheeks, but she didn't notice.

Suddenly, a series of hurried footsteps approached. Yu Yuetong turned around sharply and saw Qin Reng's figure appear at the alley entrance. He was soaking wet, his hair was disheveled, and his eyes were as sharp as a wounded wild beast.

"What are you doing here?" Qin Reng's voice was low and suppressed, with a slight, almost imperceptible tremor.

Yu Yuetong opened her mouth, but didn't know how to answer. The photo in her hand still retained Ji Momo's warmth, like a branding iron, burning her palm.

Qin Reng strode up to her and snatched the photos from her hand. His gaze quickly swept over the contents of the photos, his expression growing increasingly grim. When he saw the last photo, he froze, as if struck by lightning.

The air seemed to freeze, with only the relentless pounding of rain on the ground. Yu Yuetong nervously observed his expression, her heart pounding in her throat.

Qin Reng slowly raised his head, gazing at Yu Yuetong with a complex expression. Rain dripped down his chin, gathering into a droplet before finally succumbing to its weight and falling to the ground.

"Don't you have anything to say to me?" His voice was terribly hoarse, as if it were being squeezed out from deep in his throat.

Yu Yuetong took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "What do you want me to say? That I conspired with Ji Momo to frame you? That Ji Momo and I are true love? Or that I..." She paused, gritted her teeth, and said, word by word, "that I deliberately took these photos to frame you?"

Qin Reng didn't speak, but stared intently at her, his eyes filled with disappointment and anger.

"Qin Reng, I know you hate me and think I'm not good enough for you." Yu Yuetong's voice choked with emotion, but she forced back her tears. "But I never intended to hurt you. I'm not familiar with Ji Momo; I don't even know who she is!"

Pointing to the photos on the ground, she said emotionally, "These photos are obviously photoshopped! Can't you see that? Can't you see that Ji Momo is deliberately trying to sow discord?"

Qin Reng remained silent for a long time before slowly speaking, "I will investigate the authenticity of the photos. But..." He paused, his tone becoming even colder, "You just said that you are not familiar with Ji Momo?"

Yu Yuetong's heart tightened, and a chill ran up her spine. She remembered yesterday at the bar, how she had deliberately tried to please Ji Momo to spite Qin Reng...
