Survival in the Mist: From a Dilapidated Wooden Hut to a Heavenly Palace in the Clouds

Chapter 188 That Stunning Emerald Green

Chapter 188 That Stunning Emerald Green

They clearly didn't know much about this "leader," but these words were indeed quite unusual for them. Having been recruited, they expected to be tamed and used, but Mo Ming's words unexpectedly instilled a sense of respect in them.

Tark was the first to stand up straight, his deep voice now carrying a hint of seriousness: "Understood, Chief."

Lia lowered her head slightly, her lips moved, but she didn't say anything in the end, though her eyes were much gentler than before.

Kane, in his characteristic casual tone, teased, "The leader is quite reasonable, isn't he? But I don't mind calling a good leader 'brother' a few more times."

"Woof!" Blue barked, and although it was unclear whether it was echoing Kane's statement, the bark lightened the atmosphere a bit.

Mo Ming smiled with satisfaction, a hint of certainty in his eyes: "Very good! However..."

His tone shifted abruptly, his expression turning serious, his voice low and firm: "I have only one requirement, and that is—no harm to teammates! Under no circumstances will anyone be allowed to do anything that endangers the team. If this line is crossed, I will not let it go lightly!"

His gaze swept over everyone, like an invisible chain, making the air tense for a moment.

Tark straightened up and replied solemnly, "Understood."

Lia nodded seriously: "Yes, ma'am."

Kane muttered, "Yes."

At this point, Mo Ming toned down his stern expression, shrugged, and said with a smile, "Alright, it's that simple! Now that you understand, go and familiarize yourself with it."

With that, he waved his hand and turned to leave without waiting for them to say anything. Tark, Lia, Kane, and Blue stood there, watching his retreating figure, each with a complex mix of emotions on their faces.

The faces of the group were filled with disbelief. This leader... seemed a bit different!

Manmeng, chewing on a blade of grass, observed their expressions and said, "Stop standing there in a daze, newbies. Hurry up and follow me. I'll show you the terrain."

“Let’s go, see how big our territory is!” Stone patted Liya on the shoulder, then withdrew his hand after being startled by a look from Liya. “Don’t look at me like that. One day you’ll think this place is pretty good.”

He covered his mouth and chuckled to himself, then waved to the newcomers: "Alright, stop listening to Manmeng and Shitou's nonsense, come with me, you'll definitely be amazed!"

As they talked, they walked out of the barracks. Sunlight shone on their backs, one tall and one short, one thick and one thin, creating a strange sense of harmony.

Mo Ming stood on the second-floor balcony, watching the figures gradually disappear through the window, a slight smile playing on his lips: "A seven-person team? Not bad!"

......

After resting, Mo Ming led Xiong Da and Xiong Er to explore the dense forest on the outskirts of their territory.

Having just passed through a dense jungle, a gentle breeze swept over him, and he felt a humid heat wash over him. The surrounding landscape was pristine and secluded.

Sunlight filtered through the dense foliage, and the air was filled with the rich scent of grass and trees. The ground beneath my feet was soft, and occasionally I could see small insects emerging from the damp mud.

The big bear, now a baby bear, grinned and panted heavily, occasionally turning its head to look around, while the little bear seemed a bit excited, hopping and skipping ahead to explore the way.

The three of them came to explore this unfamiliar area, originally intending to assess the situation in the vicinity of the territory and, incidentally, search for some resources.

Unexpectedly, a wide-open area suddenly appeared ahead, with a thick layer of sand on the ground, sparse trees all around, and sunlight shining unhindered in the center of the area.

Upon reaching this point, Mo Ming suddenly sensed something was amiss. He waved to the two bears to keep quiet, while cautiously looking around, fearing some danger might be lurking beneath the sand.

Just as they approached the edge of the sandy area, Mo Ming's gaze was suddenly drawn to an inconspicuous area in the center of the sand.

Upon closer inspection, his heart pounded. A lizard... a gigantic creature!

Its entire body is covered with dark green and mottled scales. Sunlight falls on those scales and refracts into tiny fragments of light, unconsciously flashing a dazzling emerald green.

The lizard's body was robust and powerful, its limbs slightly outstretched on the sand, its large claws hooking into the thin layer of fine sand. Its long tail swept across the ground, covering half of the sand.

The lizard had its eyes closed, its breathing slow and deep, its chest and abdomen rising and falling, displaying a sense of oppressive presence.

Its most striking feature is its enormous head, covered with sharp scales that act like armor, and its shimmering emerald green eyeshadow-like markings, as if painted with some kind of natural pigment, which stand out especially in the sunlight.

Mo Ming silently took out the parser.

Komodo Forest Lizard: Crimson Level

Introduction: The top hunter of the primeval forest, the forest tyrannosaurus among lizards!

Mo Ming was filled with a mixture of shock and deep apprehension. He knew that the Komodo forest lizards were no ordinary creatures; these giant beings were not only enormous but also extremely aggressive predators.

Although with the two bear brothers, Big Bear and Little Bear, around, Mo Ming felt safe, he still didn't want to confront them directly unless absolutely necessary.

This ferocious beast is extremely cold-blooded. Even though it appears to be asleep now, no one can guarantee that it won't suddenly open its chilling eyes and pounce on them in the next second.

However, the most important thing is that this place is close to the depths of the dense forest. Once Xiong Da and Xiong Er go all out here, they will definitely attract more ferocious beasts. There is no guarantee that there won't be any powerful beasts of the orange level. If that happens, it will be difficult to escape unscathed.

He slowly took a step back, silently planning to leave the scene immediately without making a sound so as not to disturb the giant beast.

However, at that moment, the forest lizard's head suddenly moved and tilted in another direction. Mo Ming immediately stopped in his tracks, and his gaze was suddenly drawn to a patch of emerald green next to the lizard.

On the other side of the lizard's enormous head, there stood a bright green box. The box did not appear to be an ordinary wooden or metal box, but rather constructed from a material with a unique luster.

It appears as if inlaid with jade beads, reflecting a lustrous glow under the sunlight. The surface of the box is engraved with delicate patterns, the different lines intersecting to form a complex and noble design.

The most eye-catching thing, however, is the number 3 in the very center of the box.

The number was engraved in the center, the lettering shimmering with a faint golden light, like the finishing touch.

Mo Ming was shocked by all of this. He was so nervous that he was almost holding his breath, but he forgot about the lizard for a moment and his eyes were fixed on the box.

He even held his breath, afraid of making the slightest sound to disturb the tranquility of the scene. His mind, however, was in turmoil!

That's a level 3 jade resource box!
