Chapter 564: Crying

Chapter 564: Crying
In truth, Li Chenxu's thoughts were quite simple. When Mu Xiaoyu introduced him as her friend, he naturally felt something. He felt a mix of emotions, from discomfort to bitterness.
However, even if he had such emotions, he couldn't show them on his face at all.
Li Chenxu was almost certain that if Mu Xiaoyu knew what emotions he was feeling, she would probably give him a hard time without hesitation.
He still has this much patience for the sake of future happiness.
Perhaps because of Mu Xiaoyu's comfort, the interview went much more smoothly afterward. The host had originally prepared some questions and answers about Li Chenxu and Mu Xiaoyu's relationship, but now that Li Chenxu was present, she wouldn't dare ask any more questions even if she were given ten heads.
After all, Mu Xiaoyu is just a newcomer who has not yet officially debuted, so the interview was short, lasting less than half an hour.
Today's schedule is basically just this one thing, but Chen Shu has arranged an acting class for Mu Xiaoyu. Mu Xiaoyu will be joining a film crew next month for her first role, which is very important to her. Therefore, the teachers Chen Shu has hired for Mu Xiaoyu are all veterans from the drama academy, and Mu Xiaoyu cannot be late or have any delays.
After all, this is much more serious than those interviews with TV stations or variety show recordings.
So after lunch, Mu Xiaoyu immediately went to her class. There wasn't much to do in the afternoon, and since Li Chenxu was with her, Mu Xiaoyu let Mu Yang go home.
She's going to class; it wouldn't be good if she brought too many people with her.
The teacher was an elderly man, very old, and naturally very strict during class.
Mu Xiaoyu had never studied acting before, and several times she was scolded by her teacher until she almost cried.
Many years have passed since she graduated from university. She never imagined that one day she would be studying like a student again, and that she would be like a child here, feeling like crying because she was scolded by her teacher.
Fortunately, Mu Xiaoyu was always able to endure, and she managed to keep quiet even when the teacher was lecturing.
After class ended and the teacher left, he sat on the classroom floor, rubbing his sore eyes.
"Want to cry?"
During class, Li Chenxu kept his distance from her so as not to disturb her. Now that the teacher had left, he naturally came over.
Mu Xiaoyu glanced at Li Chenxu and retorted in a slightly choked voice, "Who wants to cry!"
You could tell from her tone that she wanted to cry, but she's still being stubborn. Does she really think no one can tell?
Li Chenxu found it somewhat amusing, but he didn't show it on his face. He chuckled softly, then gently pulled Mu Xiaoyu into his arms and said, "If you want to cry, then cry. Anyway, it's just me here, I won't laugh at you. After all... I've seen you in every way."
Mu Xiaoyu didn't want to cry, but she had just been scolded by the teacher and was so embarrassed that her face still felt burning with pain. Coupled with Li Chenxu's gentle tone, her nose tingled and tears streamed down her face.
She buried her head in Li Chenxu's arms and began to sob softly.
While crying, she said, "Acting is indeed not that simple. Do you think I was too impulsive, running to become a star when I knew nothing? If I don't have any skills after my debut, I don't know how much people will criticize me. I'm a very petty person, and I can't stand being criticized."
Mu Xiaoyu's somewhat childish tone finally made Li Chenxu laugh. He gently patted Mu Xiaoyu's back and said softly, "Xiaoyu, you have to have confidence in yourself. Think about who Chen Shu is? Almost all the artists she has mentored are big stars, and they are all very talented. You are someone she has taken a liking to, how could you be bad? Besides, this is only the first day of acting class, things will get better later."
"This is only the first day..."
It would have been better if Li Chenxu hadn't mentioned it, because the moment he did, Mu Xiaoyu let out a wail, almost making Li Chenxu burst out laughing.
Fortunately, Li Chenxu managed to hold back thanks to his strong willpower. He coughed lightly and continued, "Time will pass quickly, and maybe the teacher won't scold you tomorrow."
Li Chenxu was right. After class that day, Mu Xiaoyu was greatly shocked. After dinner, she locked herself in her study and practiced.
Whether it was because she had made a lot of progress or because the teacher thought she might actually be capable, she wasn't scolded on the second day. Not only that, on the second and third days, and until the end of the course, the teacher never scolded Mu Xiaoyu again.
"Girl, you were scolded so badly by me on the first day, did you cry when you got back?"
After all, the two had spent almost a month together, and they had developed some feelings for each other. Later, Mu Xiaoyu gradually gained confidence. She knew that the old man was strict and would definitely point out any shortcomings in her behavior. However, he never criticized her once, which meant that she was actually doing quite well, at least... just above average.
Even so, Mu Xiaoyu didn't have the courage to admit to the embarrassing thing she did back then—crying after being scolded—so she quickly shook her head in denial.
The old man didn't say much, but gave Mu Xiaoyu a meaningful look, then looked at Li Chenxu outside the classroom with great interest in his eyes.
Unbeknownst to Mu Xiaoyu, the old man had indeed witnessed her crying, and naturally, he also saw Mu Xiaoyu sobbing in Li Chenxu's arms.
It must be said that the scene was indeed beautiful.
However, the old man did not let his guard down around Mu Xiaoyu. He never scolded Mu Xiaoyu again, partly because of Mu Xiaoyu's talent and partly because of Mu Xiaoyu's diligence.
Based on these two points alone, even if Mu Xiaoyu makes some minor mistakes, the old man will not say anything.
Appropriate strictness is a good thing, but if it goes too far, it will dampen people's enthusiasm.
The week after finishing her acting class, Mu Xiaoyu joined the film crew. Of course, Li Chenxu went with her.
She initially thought Li Chenxu was just joking when he said he'd be with her for a month. Who knew that a month had actually passed since then, and he was still there.
He was supposed to stay on set for at least a few months, but Li Chenxu still showed no sign of leaving.
She was still worried that her situation would affect Li Chenxu's work, so she couldn't help but ask him on the day she joined the crew: "You've been by my side all this time, are things at the company alright?"
