Chapter 230 His Past
Chapter 230 His Past
“Yes. My parents were killed by you. What right do you have to stand here, Yan Ze?” Xie Wan Ning said coldly.
"So what? If Xie Cang had any self-awareness, he shouldn't have had any designs on Feng Qi. Therefore, the destruction of Yingxue Sect deserved it." Yan Ze said coldly, his voice colder than the wind and snow on the mountain.
"Break the ice!"
Luo Ze's sword unleashed a blade, carrying a deep chill, as it slashed towards Yan Ze.
"Out of control."
Yan Ze's sword easily blocked the attack, but a figure quickly appeared in front of him, accompanied by a sharp sword light.
"too slow!"
Yan Ze raised his hand and knocked Luo Ze's sword away. He then raised one hand and grabbed Xie Wan Ning by the neck.
"You're too poisoned, don't waste your energy." Yan Ze glanced at Xie Wan Ning, his tone icy.
"It's none of your business." Xie Wanning reached out and grabbed Yan Ze's arm, the red ribbon wrapped around her hand fluttering in the wind.
Yan Ze's eyes flickered slightly, and his hand unconsciously loosened its grip. He suddenly grabbed the red ribbon, and a crimson figure flashed through his mind.
"Master, why are you still practicing your sword?"
Yan Ze stopped swinging his sword, his tense body relaxing. He looked at the figure running towards him and gave a bright smile: "Feng Qi, why did you sneak out again? Didn't I tell you to cultivate properly?"
Although the words were accusatory, the tone was very gentle.
The little phoenix named Fengqi pouted in dissatisfaction, put her hands on her hips, and said, "Master, my cultivation has already reached the Golden Core stage. Look! I've even cultivated a human form. I don't want to stay in that shabby training room every day. It's too stuffy. I want to come out for some fresh air, so I came to find you, Master."
Yan Ze looked at Feng Qi gently and chuckled, saying, "After I finish practicing my sword, I'll play with you."
"Ok."
Feng Qi sat bored on a tree, watching Yan Ze practice his sword. After an unknown amount of time, Feng Qi was already dozing off when Yan Ze finally sheathed his sword and walked towards her.
Feng Qi forced himself to stay alert, yawned, and said, "Master, don't you get tired of practicing swordsmanship every day?"
"As the senior disciple of the sect, I naturally have to set a good example," Yan Ze said helplessly, a hint of melancholy flashing in his eyes.
He recalled that he spent almost all his time practicing swordsmanship and didn't have a single friend.
Fortunately, he had Fengqi by his side, so he wasn't lonely.
"Master, what's the name of this sword? I don't even know," Feng Qi asked curiously, resting her chin on her hand.
"It has no name." Yan Ze smiled awkwardly. He seemed to only care about practicing his sword and had put everything else out of his mind.
"Then why don't you choose a name?" Feng Qi suggested eagerly.
Yan Ze's gaze fell on Feng Qi, and with a deep smile, he unconsciously said, "Then let's call it Feng Qi Sword."
“I’m not a sword spirit, why should the sword be named after me?” Feng Qi shook her head, giving Yan Ze a dissatisfied look.
"Don't be angry, I'll take you down the mountain to eat something delicious." Yan Ze gently rubbed Feng Qi's head.
"Yay!" Feng Qi jumped up instantly and strode down the mountain with cheerful steps.
"What a silly phoenix," Yan Ze chuckled, his eyes filled with tenderness, as he followed Feng Qi down the mountain.
The red ribbon in front of her was snatched away. Xie Wanning held the red ribbon, looked at Yan Ze warily, and said, "This is not yours, it's mine."
Yan Ze's eyes darkened, and he grabbed Xie Wan Ning's arm, saying, "Come back to the sect with me."
"No!" Xie Wanning protested.
"Luo Ze, bring your sword!"
Luo Ze's sword flew towards Yan Ze at lightning speed, but Yan Ze caught it in his hand.
Purple current flowed through the Luo Ze sword, causing the blade to tremble incessantly.
Suddenly, Yan Ze felt a push on his back. He turned around and saw Xie Wan Ning glaring at him resentfully.
"Give me back the Luo Ze sword."
"Come back to the sect with me," Yan Ze said coldly.
"Don't go back."
Yan Ze's face darkened, and he knocked Xie Wan Ning unconscious with a wave of his hand.
The red ribbon fluttered in the wind and left Xie Wanning's hand. Yan Ze looked up and grabbed it, hissing as he nearly pulled his hand back in pain.
Ignoring the pain from his burns, Yan Ze gripped the red ribbon tightly, a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes.
Why would even a wisp of a remnant soul rebel against him?
“Feng Qi, come back with me, back to Qingyun Sect.” Yan Ze grabbed Feng Qi’s arm, his brows furrowed, his lips pressed tightly together, his face flushed red, and he glared angrily at Feng Qi, saying, “You have run away from Qingyun Sect without permission many times, what exactly do you want?”
"I don't want to go back. Let go, Master." Feng Qi resisted forcefully, raising her eyes with deep dissatisfaction: "Master, I won't go back."
Feng Qi flung her hand away, breaking free from Yan Ze's control.
She looked at Yan Ze, her eyes pleading.
"Master, on this trip, I went to the Demon Realm and met many new demons. At the same time, I went to the Human Realm and discovered many wonderful things. Master, besides cultivating, we can go out and explore more, instead of always staying in Qingyun Sect... Ah!"
Feng Qi suddenly clutched her head, squatted on the ground, and groaned in pain.
A hint of reluctance flashed across Yan Ze's face, but he still said cruelly, "Feng Qi, you are my spirit pet. You cannot leave Qingyun Sect, you cannot leave me."
That was the first time Yan Ze used the master-servant contract to punish Feng Qi, but it wasn't the last.
Feng Qi was forced into a coma by the backlash of the contract. Before she closed her eyes, she looked at Yan Ze and felt only a sense of unfamiliarity and bone-chilling cold.
Feng Qi was trapped in the Qingyun Sect and could not leave all day. Yan Ze treated her coldly and locked her up, preventing anyone from communicating with her.
Even if Feng Qi cried, made a scene, or threatened to kill herself, all she got in return was Yan Ze's increasingly cold and ruthless attitude.
Finally, while Yan Ze was out fighting demons, Feng Qi found an opportunity to escape from Qingyun Sect.
Yingxuezong.
"Ah Feng, where have you been? Why haven't I heard from you all this time?" Xie Cang asked happily.
But then she saw the pain in Feng Qi's eyes. She noticed that Xie Cang had lost a lot of weight and looked like he hadn't rested in a long time.
"Yan Ze has locked me up, Acang. I can't come to see you anymore. Yan Ze won't let me out. I ran away secretly this time," Feng Qi said, suppressing her heartache.
"I will go to Qingyun Sect to find you. You are my wife, and no one can stop us from being together," A Cang said solemnly, holding Feng Qi in his arms.
But all he could feel was Feng Qi's trembling body and the gradually cooling temperature.
"Master, why are you here?!" Feng Qi looked at Yan Ze, who appeared with his sword, and saw the deep killing intent in his eyes. Feng Qi knew that Yan Ze was angry.
"I've been waiting for you, to see where you'd go. I never imagined you'd be having a secret rendezvous." Yan Ze said, each word distinct, his face extremely grim.
"Sect Leader Yan, Ah Feng is my wife. Ah Feng and I are truly in love. I hope Sect Leader Yan will grant us this blessing." Xie Cang stood in front of Feng Qi and sincerely said to Yan Ze.
All he got in return was a deadly blade and Yan Ze's burning rage.
Snowflakes danced in the air, mingled with bright red blood.
"stop!"
Feng Qi stood in front of Yan Ze and said, "Master, don't hurt Acang. I'm willing to go back with you."
“You should have done this a long time ago,” Yan Ze said coldly.
Feng Qi and Yan Ze returned to Qingyun Sect, while Xie Cang looked at the three phoenix feathers in his arms and felt only a deep sense of powerlessness.
Qingyun Gate, Fengqi Courtyard.
Feng Qi remained blankly in the room. The long period of imprisonment had robbed her of even the courage to spread her wings. She could only let Yan Ze arrange things for her. Yan Ze made her wear gorgeous and brightly colored clothes and keep her in a carefully decorated room, which Feng Qi did without hesitation.
She ultimately became a bird with broken wings.
"Fengqi, look what good things I brought you!" Yan Ze said excitedly.
Feng Qi numbly looked up, but her eyes suddenly widened.
Wasn't that the token that the leader of the Yingxue Sect was holding? It was just that the token had long been soaked in blood, and only the character "Cang" could be faintly seen.
"What...what did you do to A Cang!" Feng Qi rushed towards Yan Ze, but was blocked by the barrier.
"It's nothing, just the destruction of the entire Yingxue Sect. Xie Cang will never come looking for you again, so just stay in Qingyun Sect."
"Why, why did you do this? I've already stayed obediently at Qingyun Sect as you asked," Feng Qi cried out in anguish, tears streaming down her face.
Yan Ze smiled with satisfaction. He stepped forward, reached out and stroked Feng Qi's face, and said with a smile, "Because you are mine! Feng Qi, I will not let anyone separate us."
"Feng Qi, don't run away. I'm the one who truly cares about you." Yan Ze's eyes were filled with madness and possessiveness.
The tenderness of my youth is gone.
