Chapter 134 Mrs. Lu

Chapter 134 Mrs. Lu

"Big brother, can I take you to the beach to catch crabs?" Lu Bing's face was full of anticipation.

Lin Feng agreed with a smile.

When they arrived at the beach, the sea breeze gently blew on their faces, bringing a hint of coolness.

Lu Bing ran around excitedly on the beach, looking for crabs.

Lin Feng looked at his cheerful figure and felt a warmth in his heart.

"Although life here is simple, it is very peaceful." Lin Feng thought.

After a while, Lu Bing came over, holding a crab in his hand, and said proudly: "Big brother, look, I caught it!"

Lin Feng smiled and praised him: "Lu Bing is really amazing!"

Lu Bing smiled even more happily.

As time went by, Lin Feng's injuries gradually improved.

During this period of time, thanks to the magical power of the Xuanling Secret Book, his originally shocking injuries are recovering at an astonishing speed.

That day, Lin Feng was moving his body slowly around the house as usual, trying to regain flexibility in his limbs. Just then, the door was gently pushed open, and Lin Zi walked in with a smile, holding a basket. She said, "Lin Feng, I'm going to the village market to buy some vegetables. You should rest well."

Lin Feng nodded and responded, "Sister Lin Zi, go ahead and be careful."

Lin Zi turned and walked out the door. Lin Feng looked at her back, and a hint of curiosity surged in his heart. He thought that since Lin Zi went to the market, this would be a good opportunity to get to know this place.

After a while, Lin Feng felt that his body could withstand a certain amount of activity, so he slowly walked out of the thatched hut. The sunlight outside was a bit dazzling, and he squinted his eyes and took a while to adjust before he could see the surrounding scenery clearly.

Lin Feng walked slowly along a narrow path toward the village. Along the way, the sea breeze blew gently, carrying a faint salty smell. The wildflowers and weeds along the roadside swayed in the wind, as if telling him the story of this small island.

Finally, Lin Feng arrived at the village. The market was bustling with activity. The sounds of shouting and bargaining intertwined, filling the air with the breath of life.

Lin Feng looked around curiously, only to see the stalls filled with all sorts of goods. Most of them were fresh fish, gleaming silver in the sunlight, exuding the scent of the sea. Fresh vegetables, on the other hand, were relatively rare, making them seem particularly precious.

Lin Feng walked into the village market and was instantly attracted by the lively and vibrant scene before him.

The market is located in the village's central square, surrounded by stalls of all kinds. The sunlight shines on the ground, reflecting the busy figures of people and the colorful goods.

Near the beach, large basins filled with fresh fish stood. The fish leaped and danced in the water, their scales gleaming silvery-white in the sunlight. The fish vendors shouted, "Fresh fish! Just caught this morning, so tender!" Their faces beamed with joy at the harvest, their arms still stained with seawater. One vendor expertly scooped up a large fish, showing off its plumpness to customers and praising the quality of their catch.

Customers gathered around the stall, carefully selecting the fish from the water. One woman, narrowing her eyes, pointed at a plump sea bass and asked, "How much is this? Can you give me a discount?" The stall owner smiled and replied, "Auntie, this is the lowest price I can offer. Look how fresh this fish is." After some haggling, the woman finally agreed and bought the fish. The stall owner cleaned it quickly, put it in a bag, and handed it to her.

At another stall, a variety of shellfish, shrimp, and crabs were displayed. Crabs bared their claws, trying to break free; shellfish kept their shells tightly closed, as if guarding their secrets. The stall owner, busy greeting customers while trying to prevent the crabs from escaping, his frantic behavior drew laughter from those around him.

The central section of the market was lined with vegetable stalls. While the vegetables here weren't as plentiful as the fish, they were the fruit of the villagers' hard work. Lush greens, bright red peppers, and plump radishes were neatly arranged. Vegetable vendors sat behind the stalls, watching passersby with expectant eyes. A young woman picked a handful of greens and asked, "Uncle, are these fresh?" The man quickly replied, "Girl, I picked them right from the fields this morning. They're absolutely fresh." The woman smiled, paid, and went on to pick other vegetables.

Other stalls sold various handmade items, such as bamboo baskets, fishing nets, and wood carvings. Craftsmen sat at their stalls, concentrating on their craft, showcasing their exquisite skills. A child stood before a wood carving stall, his eyes fixed on a lifelike monkey sculpture. He tugged at his mother's clothes, refusing to leave. His mother, with a helpless smile, negotiated the price with the stall owner.

Besides buying and selling, the market also features snack stalls. Steaming hot buns, fragrant fried fish, and delicious fruit are mouth-watering. The stall owners skillfully serve the delicious treats to customers. Children, clutching candied haws, playfully mingled among the crowd, their laughter echoing throughout the market.

People were moving between the stalls, the sounds of bargaining, laughter, and shouting intertwined, creating a lively scene full of life. Lin Feng was among them, feeling the rich atmosphere of fireworks, and a warm feeling welled up in his heart.

"Mrs. Lu, come and buy vegetables today!" said an uncle selling fish with a smile.

Lin Zi smiled and nodded: "Yes, uncle, is your fish fresh?"

"It must be fresh, just caught!" the uncle assured, patting his chest.

Lin Zi picked a few fish, put them in the basket, and continued walking forward.

"Mrs. Lu, long time no see!" an aunt selling vegetables greeted her.

"Auntie, how are you feeling recently?" Lin Zi asked with concern.

As Lin Zi walked along, many people greeted her enthusiastically, calling her "Mrs. Lu." Lin Feng watched silently from the side, his curiosity growing.

After buying the groceries, Lin Zi turned around and prepared to go home, but she saw Lin Feng standing not far away. She was stunned at first, then walked over with a smile.

"Lin Feng, why are you here? Are you feeling okay?" Lin Zi asked with concern.

Lin Feng smiled and said, "Sister Lin Zi, I feel much better now, so I came out for a walk and took a look."

Lin Zi nodded: "Okay, let's go home."

Along the way, Lin Feng finally couldn't help but ask, "Sister Lin Zi, why do people call you Mrs. Lu? And they all seem very polite to you."

Lin Zi raised her head slightly, a hint of nostalgia and pride in her eyes: "It's a long story. My husband's name is Lu Sheng. When he was alive, he was a professional fisherman leading a team to go fishing at sea."

Lin Feng listened quietly without interrupting.
