Chapter 150 Celebration Dinner
Chapter 150 Celebration Dinner
Mrs. Weasley came back in the evening, and when Ron saw the long package in his mother's hand, his breathing quickened.
"Don't open it yet, Ronnie!" Mrs. Weasley said with a smile, "Let's go down to the restaurant in the basement first. We are going to hold a small celebration party!"
Mrs. Weasley went about her own business, but Ron opened the package impatiently. Amid Aris's silence and Harry's suppressed laughter, he introduced his new broom over and over again.
Just as Ron was ecstatic, Mrs. Weasley's impatient roar came from downstairs: "You little bastards, are you coming to the dinner or not?"
Ron carefully put away his new broom and followed Aris and Harry to the kitchen and dining room in the basement.
Not only were the tables in the restaurant filled with a variety of delicious dishes, but there was also a banner hanging on the wall:
Congratulations to Ron and Hermione on being elected prefects
Mrs. Weasley was in a very good mood today. At least, he had never seen Mrs. Weasley so happy since Aries came to the Black family home.
"I thought we should have a little celebration," said Mrs. Weasley cheerfully, "rather than just a sit-down dinner."
Fred and George rolled their eyes at the same time. People came to the restaurant one after another. Tonks sat next to Remus. The two talked and laughed. Aris saw a shy look on the face of the former Professor Lupin.
When Harry poured butterbeer for his companions, a "bang bang bang" sound was heard. It was Mad-Eye Moody, who had not been seen for a long time.
"Tonight's dinner looks quite sumptuous," Mad-Eye Moody said gruffly. "It seems I came at the right time!"
"That's exactly the right time, Alastor!" Mrs. Weasley said enthusiastically. "It just so happened that when we were cleaning the room, we found a desk that couldn't be opened. It's in the corner of the second floor..." Mrs. Weasley pointed to an approximate location as she spoke.
Mad-Eye looked towards that place, and the pupil of his magic eye shrank. Mrs. Weasley continued, "I dare not open it, for fear that there may be a very nasty guy inside. You know, every item in this house is not simple..."
"It's a Boggart," said Mad-Eye Moody. "Shall I take care of it, Molly?"
"No, no," said Mrs. Weasley, "I'll take care of it later. In fact, we're having a celebration party. Our fourth prefect ..."
"Authority people always bring a lot of unnecessary trouble," Mad-Eye Moody looked at Ron and said, "Since Dumbledore chose you to be the prefect, he must think that you can deal with the malice of most people..."
Just when Ron was at a loss, Mr. Weasley and Bill came back, bringing the sneaky Mundungus with them.
After everyone arrived, the sumptuous dinner officially began with a toast to congratulate Ron and Hermione for becoming prefects.
Everyone was talking and laughing, reminiscing about their school days, until Ginny asked Sirius if he had ever been a prefect. Sirius gave a short, sharp laugh and replied:
"No one would be so blind as to choose me as a prefect. I spent most of my detentions with James. Remus is a good boy and he got his badge."
Aris keenly felt that Harry's disguised bad mood had improved a lot.
When it was time for dessert, Mrs. Weasley stood up and said, "I'm going to deal with that Boggart..." and then went upstairs on her own.
The people who stayed behind were talking about something: Hermione and Remus were discussing the rights of house-elves, and Tonks was listening with great interest; Ron seemed to be discussing his new broom with his eldest brother; Fred and George were discussing something furtively with Mundungus; Kingsley seemed to be discussing with Sirius... why not let Harry be a prefect...
Aris noticed that Harry had lost his initial interest and seemed to want to leave and be alone.
"What's wrong, Potter?" Mad-Eye Moody said to Harry, "Why are you so glum? Are you all right?"
"I'm fine...fine..." Harry lied with a forced smile.
"I have something here that might interest you..." Mad-Eye Moody took out a very worn magic photo from his pocket.
"This is the original member of the Order of the Phoenix," Mad-Eye Moody said in a low voice. "I found it while sorting out my invisibility cloak, and thought someone might like to see it..."
Aris also came over. There were many people in the photo. They were all very young and energetic. The people in the photo were enthusiastic and greeted the people outside the photo.
Mad-Eye Moody introduced the people in the photos and their brave and tragic stories. Aris was fine, but he noticed that Harry's smile was becoming more and more forced.
"What are you doing there? Mad-Eye..." It was Sirius' voice.
While Mad-Eye Moody was distracting him, Harry quickly dragged Aris out of the restaurant.
"Are you okay, buddy?" Aris asked.
"Do I look like I'm in trouble?" Harry replied with a smile, "I'm just a little sleepy...what's that sound?"
Faint crying sounds were heard, and Aeris and Harry hurried to find the source of the sound.
In a room on the second floor, the sound of Mrs. Weasley crying was faintly heard. Aris and Harry hurried into the room. Mrs. Weasley was kneeling in front of a desk and crying bitterly. In front of her was... Ron's body?
Ron was lying there with lifeless eyes, without a trace of light in them, as if... he had died with his eyes open.
Harry looked at Aris, somewhat bewildered.
"Come on," said Aris, frowning, "Ron's still bragging about his new broom in the restaurant!"
Mrs. Weasley trembled and pointed her wand at "Ron's body."
"Slippery...ridiculous..." said Mrs. Weasley in a crying voice.
With a "swish", Ron's body became Bill's, and Mrs. Weasley cried even more sadly.
“Funny funny…funny funny…funny funny…funny funny…”
"Swish"...Charlie's body; "Swish"...Percy's body; "Swish"...Fred and George's bodies; "Swish"...Ginny's body; "Swish"...Mr. Weasley's body; "Swish"...Harry's body; "Swish"...Arris's body...
Mrs. Weasley was crying and almost collapsed. Aries winked at Harry, and the two of them quickly helped Mrs. Weasley up and left that place.
With a "swish", Aeris's body turned into Geralt Grindelwald. He took two steps towards Aeris with an expressionless face and said in a cold voice: "You are not worthy of being my grandson..."
Footsteps were heard and Remus entered the room, followed by Sirius and Mad-Eye Moody shuffling behind.
When Remus entered the room, with a "swish" sound, a full moon slowly emerged from the dark clouds.
Remus took out his wand and waved it impatiently, "Funny..."
The full moon turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared. Mrs. Weasley covered her face and burst into tears.
Remus, Sirius, and Mad-Eye Moody all came forward to comfort Mrs. Weasley, but she just choked up and said, "Dead... all dead... I always dream that they are all dead..."
"Okay... Molly!" said Remus sadly, "It's not real, it's just a Boggart..."
"I'm sorry, children..." Mrs. Weasley sobbed, "I can't even deal with a Boggart... What will you think of me..."
"Don't be silly...Mother Weasley..." Harry said, causing Mrs. Weasley to force a smile.
